1980 the company – still with the name Tobslak based at Frankfurt,– was acquired by Wolf Mießner and from then on it was characterised by his pioneering spirit. Whereas in the beginning intumescent paint for steel industry formed the main products, close contact to regional painters opened up new scope.

New positioning as TOBSLAK for façade protection ,the company turns away from mass sales and towards niche production for the preservation and conservation of buildings .
